Trainee Solicitors

There will be one trainee vacancy in 2008. And two in 2009.

Usually a 2:1 degree is required and LPC with at least commendation.

The degree need not be in law. Candidates who do not exactly match the academic requirements should have something else to offer. This is always on an individual basis, but it may be an additional skill or other professional qualification.

Collins is a practice that specialises in Civil Litigation and this is a forte. Candidates should bear this is mind when deciding whether to apply. Thus for example, if an individual's interest lies in mergers and acquisitions or crime, this firm is unlikely to suit. Whilst we acknowledge that training contracts are hard to find, candidates need to be sure that our area of practice are of true interest to them.
