Buncefield Residents Welcome Investigation Report - 10/05/06
Local residents welcomed today’s report into last December’s fire and explosion at the Hemel Hempstead Oil Depot; but they hit out at the oil industry’s persistent failure to accept responsibility or provide its own explanation for events.
Speaking for the residents Solicitor Des Collins said:-
“It beggars belief that much of the information in today’s report was not in the hands of the operators from day one. Against a background of appalling devastation for them then to have concealed the position from the residents for some five months is nothing short of scandalous.”
