Timings for the Infected Blood Inquiry opening hearings:

Monday 24th – Wednesday 26th September 2018.

The preliminary public hearings at the Infected Blood Public Inquiry will be held in Church House, Great Smith Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 3NZ from Monday 24th to Wednesday 26th September 2018.

These hearings will be an opportunity for core participants and legal representatives to make opening statements about the issues in the Terms of Reference.
On Monday 24 September, arrival and registration is from 11.00 and proceedings will start in the morning with a commemoration for the people infected and affected over the past decades.

Sir Brian Langstaff, Chair of the Inquiry will then open the preliminary hearings and Jenni Richards QC, Counsel to the Inquiry, will make an opening statement on Monday afternoon, outlining how the Inquiry proposes to carry out its work. The first day is scheduled to finish at 16.30.

Core participants and legal representatives will then have the following two days, Tuesday 25th September and Wednesday 26th September, to make opening statements. Registration on both days will be from 10.30 with each day scheduled to finish at 16.30.

Please note that this schedule is provisional, and timings may be subject to alteration.

The hearings will be streamed via the internet. We will publicise the relevant link in due course.
